As a frontend leader, I try to build processes so that the code is predictable and the team is on the same wavelength. One way is to fix a set of tools that solves 80% of tasks without unnecessary experimentation. Here is my current stack; it evolves, but the base remains.

Visual Studio Code

  1. VS Code

An editor who doesn’t distract. ESLint + Prettier are embedded in save, the terminal is nearby, Git Lens shows the history directly in the file. No “it doesn’t work for me” — settings in the repository.

React.js

  1. React

Components = a contract between design and code. Hooks cover 95% of the states, and TypeScript adds input types. In large projects, this saves weeks of debugging.

Tailwind CSS

  1. Tailwind CSS

Utilities instead of arbitrary classes. The configuration is in one file, the design tokens are synchronized with Figma. Minus 2-3 KB of CSS output, plus a single dictionary for web designers.

Vite

  1. Vite

The Dev server starts in 300 ms, the HMR is instant. A 20-line configuration, plugins for React/PostCSS out of the box. We leave the webpack for legacy monsters.

Figma

  1. Figma

Not a development tool, but an entry point. Inspect → CSS variables, auto-layout → grid/flex, comments from @dev. One file = one source of truth.

This set closes the cycle from layout to production. If there is a newcomer to the team, 15 minutes on onboard, and he is already in the stream.

What tools do you use in your projects? Share it in the comments — I will update the list if there is something more systematic.
